My name is David Burns and I am a singer-songwriter-philosopher-poet located in Calgary, Alberta.

My music is somewhat topical, and in addition to being upbeat and dancable, is an attempt to create discussion around certain social and political trends evident in the world today. Music isn't illegal -- yet. This is a Music Bomb.

I am currently working with the Dog Poet Society on my second CD which will be released in November. Stay tuned for advance tracks.
I have written many "political" songs over the last four years that witness what is unfolding around us, as well as a few love songs thrown in for fun. Call me a political songwriter, I won't deny it, but I can't help it that the universe handed me a period in history with so much great material. And you can dance to these songs as well.
Still, if you don't like songs about political and topical subjects, this site may not be for you. I write about things like:

- and the fraud that is Global Warming
To sum up my philosophy, the government always lies, and we are in an age where the lie is being ripped of the face of the Joker. Still, centuries of conditioning takes time to unwind, and life today also reveals how disjointed perception is from reality for so many people on so many levels, likely and including myself. You can't make this sh&% up.
We are in the midst of a great age of transformation, and I believe future generations will talk of these times for centuries to come. Massive societal shifts are coming, regardless of what I do. Still, some of this transformation needs to be acknowledged, which I communicate about with music. And while I don't believe even the best song can reverse the course of history, I do believe many of the seeds we plant while in this life do take root, and my music is my favorite soil.
My aim is to appeal to people's subconcious through music, not unlike most popular music today which is heavily influenced by occult practises as evidenced by the symbology displayed in the videos of "mainstream" artists. I want to use music against these forces, essentially co-opting one of their favorite mind-control arenas. Music will allow some of these ideas to access minds that otherwise would be very closed, and once one idea gets accepted, the door opens to others.
My prayer is that the universe will reward me for wanting to play a big game which is to assist people looking at life and reality in different ways. We are going to have to look at life and reality in different ways anyway, my vision is I can help make it a little clearer what is going on for all of us and have some fun at the same time.
